Drum rotator (DR) attachment

The drum lifter dispenser is designed for decanting 120-220 litre steel and plastic drums. The unit is fitted with a contoured band which has rubber blocks fitted to remove any risk of drum slippage. The operator secures the drum in place using a dual ratchet and strap arrangement.  We can offer units for tipping at various heights with lift strokes of 500mm, 760mm and 1260mm depending upon your needs. We recommend our range of Universal Drum Tippers if lifting and rotating drums into large vessels or where tipping reach is required.

Sideways rotation

The unit is fitted with a slew-ring gearbox assembly which allows drums to be rotated sideways. The operator uses a long stainless steel crank handle to rotate the gearbox and therefore the drum. The advantage of this model over our other drum tippers is the smaller footprint and counterbalanced design. The slew-ring gearbox assembly is very robust and hard-wearing. The force required to turn the rotation crank handle is very low due to the high ratio of the slew-ring gearbox. When the operator is not rotating the gearbox with the crank handle the drum remains mechanically locked in place.

Ergonomic Height

Scooping powders and granules out of drums is hard physical work. It involves a lot of bending down into the drum opening. Operators can injure their back doing this if they are not careful. This machine can be used to eliminate unsafe practices. Using this machine drums can be lifted up and then rotated to make access into the drum safer and more ergonomic.

Chemical-resistant wheels

We use high-quality elasticated rubber wheels with precision bearings: these offer premium wheel performance in harsh environments. To get the most out of this unit we recommend using it on smooth surfaces. The unit is fitted with rear-wheel tiller steering which provides a tight-turning circle. This is useful if you’re using the drum handler in confined areas.

Manual hydraulic pump

Our team assemble our hydraulic systems by hand in our UK factory to ensure that each hydraulic system is clean, reliable and safe. Each pump is tested and inspected to ensure they work smoothly and effectively. To lift a drum to height for dispensing operators simply pump the handle back and forth which raises the height of the ram rod which then, in turn, lifts the drum to the required height for dispensing.  The pump handle has been designed to meets all manual handling guidelines and requires minimal force to operate. A hand-operated lever gives the operator precise control when a drum needs to be lowered to the ground or onto a pallet.

ATEX / UKEX-certified model for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)

Explosive or potentially explosive atmospheres require operators to use zoned ATEX / UKEX equipment. We provide fully-certified drum lifter dispensers for use in these hazardous areas. The DTP08-350kg-R1260-DR-Ex Drum Lifter Dispenser is suitable for use in ATEX / UKEX classified spaces: zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Electrical continuity - whereby a path to ground is always present – is of key importance when manufacturing compliant drum handling equipment. All our ATEX / UKEX Drum Lifter Dispensers are supplied with a Declaration of Conformity which states compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
