Compact under-pallet leg design

Euro pallets have an open end on the narrow 800mm wide side of the pallet. This allows the legs of the drum lifter to easily approach and access the drums on the pallet. This leg design allows the lifter to be small and compact making it well suited to cramped production environments; however, the downside is that this model will not allow drums to be placed on the floor – the compact low-level legs become a hindrance in this case. Handles a wide range of drum types

Modern industrial drums come in many different shapes and sizes, depending upon the industry they are used in. At STS we strive wherever possible to make versatile and universal equipment. The unique drum catch used on this model allows steel, plastic, and fibreboard drums to be handled with ease. The operator simply adjusts the gripper to suit the specific drum type being handled; this adjustment takes only seconds.

Handles all drum heights

As well as the adjustable catch itself, the gripper can also be moved up and down on the front rack assembly. Operators can move the gripper up the rack for tall drums, and down the rack for short drums. This adjustability ensures that the full lifting stroke of the machine is always available, no matter what drum you are handling.

Manual hydraulic lift system

The hydraulic pump supplies oil to a hydraulic lifting ram, the system lifts the drum up when the handle is pumped back and forth. A hand-operated lowering valve mounted on the top of the lifter provides precise control when a drum needs to be lowered down onto a pallet. With our stainless-steel models, the hydraulic pump is encased in stainless steel with a PVC boot to protect it from dirt ingress - the lift ram is also nickel/chrome plated to protect it from corrosion.

ATEX-certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)

For ATEX hazardous areas we can supply a fully-certified Euro pallet hydraulic drum lifter for use in zoned areas. This version has been designed and manufactured for use in gas and dust classified spaces: Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22. The hydraulic drum lifter is constructed to ensure electrical continuity whereby a path to ground is always present. A Declaration of Conformity is supplied which states compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
