Handles a wide range of drum types

The unique STS drum catch can be adjusted by the operator on the move. The catch has various positional settings which enable it to connect to steel tight-head drums, L-ring plastic drums and MAUSER drums among many others. Simply lower the catch down over the top edge of the drum to effortlessly connect it.

Height adjustable drum gripper

The stainless-steel rack assembly allows users to adjust the height of the drum catch to cater for different drum heights. Move the catch down for short drums and up for taller drums. The modular rack design means custom attachments can also be designed and fitted; these can be added or removed should unusual food or pharmaceutical drums need handling alongside conventional drums.

Manual hydraulic pump

The UK-made aluminium pump assembly supplies hydraulic oil to the lift ram assembly, when operators pump the handle at the rear of the stainless drum lifter the drum is raised off the pallet or ground. A lowering lever is situated on top of the lifter body offering fantastic control when a drum needs to be lowered to the ground or onto a pallet. STS hydraulic lift systems are assembled by hand in our factory to ensure trademark STS quality and reliability.

ATEX / UKEX-certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)

We can provide a fully-certified ATEX / UKEX drum lifter for use in hazardous explosive areas. The 'Ex' rated variant will feature anti-static wheels, anti-static guarding, earthing chains and will include all the required documentation for use in an ATEX / UKEX gas and dust classified space, zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. The ATEX version is manufactured to ensure electrical continuity whereby a path to ground for an electrical charge is always present. We supply a Declaration of Conformity which states compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
