Unique leg design

This model has been designed to be both small and compact - the legs play a big role in this. The under-pallet legs shown are compatible with Euro pallets that have an opening on the 800mm side, the legs are also suitable for loading onto bunds, platforms and conveyors whereby there is a gap underneath. The low-level leg design does not allow drums to be placed directly onto the floor; if this is a requirement we are able to offer a straddle leg design to allow the placement of drums on the floor.

Universal drum catch

Our unique drum gripping catch mechanism effortlessly connects to a wide range of drum types and sizes; drums from 50-220 litres can be lifted using this catch. The adjustment of the top hook is simple and easy and caters for drums with different lip designs. To adjust the catch operators remove a locking pin, adjust the top hook position (forward or backward) and then refit the pin. The adjustment of the catch takes just seconds to complete.

Stainless-steel ladder rack

The 304-grade stainless-steel ladder rack at the front of the unit allows the operator to adjust the position of the drum catch up and down to accommodate drums of different heights. Operators simply move the gripping catch lower for shorter drums and higher for taller drums. For a detailed breakdown of the drum heights that are compatible with this product, please see the specification document below.

Manual hydraulic pump

The aluminium hydraulic pump supplies oil to a hydraulic lifting ram, the system lifts the drum up when the handle is pumped back and forth. A hand-operated lowering valve mounted on the top of the lifter provides precise control when a drum needs to be lowered down onto a pallet. We assemble all our hydraulic circuits by hand in our UK factory to ensure that each system is both clean and reliable, each system is flushed through and fully tested before dispatch.

Chemical-resistant wheels

The standard model makes use of elasticated rubber tyres fitted to an aluminium hub. The ATEX / UKEX model uses tyres made from an anti-static (or conductive) polyurethane compound, again fitted to an aluminium hub. All wheels use two precision bearings which are fitted within the hub, these offer a low rolling resistance making the unit easy to move around, even when moving a fully-loaded 350-kilogram drum. To get the most out of this unit we recommend you use it on smooth flat surfaces.

Drum suitability

The DTP06 hydraulic drum lifter can handle a wide variety of drum types and sizes. This is especially useful if your company uses many different types of drums on a daily basis. For a detailed breakdown of the drums with which this product is compatible, please see the drum suitability document below. If the drums you use are not shown in the document, please contact us and we can advise you.

ATEX / UKEX-certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)

For ATEX / UKEX hazardous areas we can supply a fully-certified Euro pallet hydraulic drum lifter for use in zoned areas. The DTP06-Ex has been designed and manufactured for use in gas and dust classified spaces: Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22. The hydraulic drum lifter is constructed to ensure electrical continuity whereby a path to ground is always present. A Declaration of Conformity is supplied which states compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
